Hi, I’m Jo and I’m a dog photographer based in Colchester - covering Essex and beyond! 

Following jobs in various sectors of photography over the years, it was my two dogs Blaze & Missy who landed me in the dog industry. I completed my BA(Hons) and MA, both in Photography, at Norwich University of the Arts having always wanted to follow this career path. After several years running a content creation & digital marketing business, I made the move into full time dog photography. 

Blaze came along in 2021 and changed everything I thought I knew about dogs. In 2023 we brought Missy into the family and she challenged everything I thought I knew once again! Both are beautiful souls who have taught me so much and have given me a deep understanding of the special bond that can be created between dogs and humans. This underlies much of what I seek to capture. 

Whilst my visual style is carried throughout my photos, I work closely with you and your dogs to capture their unique personalities, quirks and everything that makes them so special to you. I have worked through my dogs’ own behavioural needs with the help of various industry professionals who I now train with for fun on a regular basis. I am confident in photographing all types of dogs - whatever their requirements might be. Whether you have a reactive dog who needs extra time and space or a bouncy excitable pup with a short attention span, I will work hard to make the photoshoot enjoyable for everyone, coming away with some beautiful memories. 

Creativity and a love for dogs remain at the heart of the business. I also pride myself in having excellent organisational skills! This means that when we work together, the process from start to finish is clear and smooth. I’ll be here to answer all your questions throughout and keep you updated on the progress.
